Prayers Please!!

We are back from the vet with Abby... here's a pix of her resting. She was a REALLY good girl and layed on her side w/o any fussing. First thing the dr. found is a heart murmor. She said it's not a big one or in a bad place. But just to keep an eye on her and to watch for certain signs... all of which she isn't showing.

The lump was aspirated and she said it is cancerous... called a mast cell tumor and that it needs to come off. She took blood work to see if it's anywhere else in her body. We have to wait until morning to hear back. We have prayed and have put our hope and trust in God that He will pull her thru quickly and with the best possible outcome.

We'd like to ask for your continued prayers for Abby thru this whole process and for our peace of mind and strength. I'm not thinking I'm ready to go thru this again so soon after Stowgee , Bella and Sophie. But He promises not to give me more then I can bare and I know that goes for Abby too. I know He loves her as much as we do. It just hurts my heart!

  1. Dhea makes me wonder if something in your home or land is causing issues for the fur babies???? All of them now???? NOT good. The Lord wont give you too much but He is certainly testing you to the limits.I am sending you love and hugs for you and the Abbey girl. Please remember us out here love you all too. Tanya

    1. Thank you Tanya... yes lots of testing. Not all of them. Stowgee was 15, so he lived a full life. Bella was only 12 and it was such a shock that it happened so fast. We lost her due to a major stroke. I'm still crying over her. Abby is actualy Bella's daugher. We kept her from Bella's 1 and only litter. So we helped birth her. She's a tough little girl. She's 10 now.

Sophie is great! She had 2 problems/surgeries but only because she likes to eat things she shouldn't! And we have learned to be very careful and pick up everything. We don't even use dryer fabric sheets anymore because she likes to eat them!

Darla is ok. She has seizures once every month or 2. Been praying for her healing on that, and we are hopeful!

  2. I am so sorry. My Arwen has Transitional Cell Carcinoma of the Bladder. She was only suppose to live 0-120 days but we are now into the 11 month for her. Keep loving your little baby. I love my girl every day & make them special for her

  3. I'm so sorry. I've been there with a beloved pet, too. I'll pray God gives you the grace you need. And it's never silly to pray for our pets. I fully believe it's why our Weimer, Jack, didn't have the leukemia the vet thought he did. We prayed. And God promises to hear even the smallest (or seemingly silliest) of our prayers.

  4. Dhea, I hope you don't mind but I shared your post on my FB page. I hope others also pray for God's grace in this matter for you.
