Bead Soup Has Arrived!!

My bead soup has arrived!!! Here's a quick pix of all the goodies that my Bead Soup partner sent me. There's a better picture coming up next but I wanted to share this picture so you can see the names and types of beads she picked out for me. You may have to click on the picture to enlarge it.

B, my partner is a very talented wire and gemstone jewelry designer. As you can see, she sent me a focal with some of her GORGEOUSLY talented wire work done on it. I'm excited to play with it.

Next picture shows all the ingredients nice and close up!! You may have to click on the picture to enlarge it.

She's sent me some lovely beads and silk ribbon to design with. This soup will be a bit of a challenge for me. But one I am really looking forward to working with.  Why is it a challenge you may ask? Well, the colors are not in my "go to comfie zone" and the sizes are smaller than I usually work with. But, I love a good challenge... I think it's good for me to step out of my comfort zone and try new things. And I really do like what she sent me. I think the colors feel soothing and fresh.

Psst... see that spool of wire? That scares me a bit. LOL! I don't know if I'll brave that one or not. It's a challenge within a challenge. :) We shall see how it goes. I am not a wire artist that's for sure! But when I see work like B's ... it makes me want to give it a try.

So my dear B, thank you for the challenge, for helping me step out and try new things... and thank you for sending me such pretty ingredients to work with. I hope you enjoy the Bead Soup ingredients I picked out for you. I can't wait to see what you make!! :)

I'll keep you all posted on how things are going and I'll be sure to share pictures once I'm done cooking up this wonderful bowl full of Bead Soup Goodness!!

  1. That is a lovely soup, such beautiful colours! And I know what you mean about wire, it's a tricky thing to master (I haven't, anyway :) Good luck with it!

  2. That is funny! I looked at your pics and couldn't see anything scary! I was thinking bugs, or snakeskin, or something really scary....not an innocent little spool of wire. I guess it's all about perspective. Have fun with your soup!
